A blog on economics by a school student trying to figure it out.
I'm Swarna Verma — a student, still working most of it out. I write here because economics has the rare quality of making the world feel less arbitrary, and because the only way I know to understand something properly is to try to explain it.
I'm not writing as an expert. I'm writing as someone curious enough to follow a thread until something underneath becomes visible — a mechanism, a second-order effect, a reason a number is moving. The pieces are long where they need to be and short where they can be.
The name is a Jane Austen pun by way of an old joke about double-entry bookkeeping — the suggestion being that good economic thinking, like good prose, balances two things at once: the rigour of the ledger, and the judgment to know what to put in it.
If something here makes you think — or makes you disagree — write to me at hello@example.com. I'd love to hear it.
